Statement

The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers working on philosophy and geopolitics in their most diverse configurations, in order to grasp the political, moral, ethical, material, and epistemological (dis)continuities of these two disciplines. Ethnographic fieldwork, literature reviews, interview campaigns, and socio-historical surveys may be used to understand, based on the actors' qualifications, the novelty, growth, or decline of the use of the term "geopolitics"; the (more or less) socially distributed nature of the term's use, particularly in terms of the discursive, symbolic, and political investments it arouses; or, where appropriate, the term's disqualification, its coexistence, or even its frequent substitution by other terms.

It is in an economic, political and geostrategic context that we will try to give new impetus to the crucial debates of our time. The world is going through a very difficult period, with wars everywhere on the one hand and a crucial degradation of the natural environment on the other. Our conference is part of the new dynamic which consists of locating the fault of our unthought and mobilizing international opinion on geopolitical and geo-philosophical issues in order to allow us to understand all the optimal strategies, it is absolutely necessary to see and review our way of acting on the political, the economic, the cultural and the environmental and especially on Geo-philosophy which represents the fundamental matrix of our approach, it is in this perspective, which is necessary to mobilize all the living forces, intellectuals, scientists, philosophers men of science which allows the debate to have a meaning in the spirit of thought, it is a unitary and multiple action that we can build real and rational dimensions, on the one hand and on the other hand mobilize the free spirits which allow reason to impose a mode of reflection so that the future is more favorable and positive, therefore we trace a mode of action likely to get out of this quagmire, it is a bold perspective which requires commitments of all the vital potentials of our society.

The world is currently in a critical state. The absence of convincing alternatives and the absence of a human vision suggest that we may enter the abyss of the apocalypse. It is obvious that without the concept and its construction, and at the same time, deconstruction, we will no longer have the means to find solutions. The world is changing exponentially, the world is becoming permanently radicalized, the world is metamorphosing at a speed where reason judges and seeing reason no longer finds appropriate structures. There is no longer a theoretical model that can illuminate a new matrix that manifests itself in the problem of human values. Chaos is omnipresent in every space of this earth. The situation is perilous ; it requires vigilance and determination within the parameters that save what is saveable.

Our cardinal theme is the following : how can we save humanity and nature from an immeasurable deluge ? Under what conditions can we contribute to finding adequate solutions so that progress replaces civilizational decadence ? From what perspective will humanity be able to challenge the negative implications of obsolete policies ? What theoretical and empirical horizon should we seek and research in the future of our existence ? All these questions must find answers through a way of thinking that does not think like others. The only response to the challenges of this reality must be subordinated to our reflection around a serene practice, in which the concept of geophilosophy is finding significant momentum.

Geophilosophy represents the only alternative way of thinking that can lead us to understand complex reality.

This call is divided into three main themes, which cross-cuttingly address recent transformations in geopolitical models, the epistemology of geopolitics, and the links between these transformations and the conditions in which they are practiced :

1.Epistemologies of the Philosophy of Geopolitics and the Geopolitics of Philosophy : Theoretical and Methodological (Dis)continuities

Communications in this theme may document situated uses of the term by taking as their scale an institution, a field of intervention, or even a category of public, or even several in a comparative perspective. Participants may also highlight and/or question the epistemological foundations, normative repertoires, and the scope of support practices using interpretive frameworks and theoretical tools derived from, among other things, theories.

2.Spaces, Territory, and Geopolitical Issues : Cultures, Civilization, Countries, Objects, Institutions, Interactions

In this second area, we are more specifically interested in the interaction of cultures, ideas, and imaginary and fictional borders. We aim to highlight and explore the diversity of actors, spaces, and social temporalities in which the situations and contexts of peoples and populations unfold.

3."More-Than-Human" Approaches

Finally, this call also invites consideration of a whole series of "more-than-human" approaches, whose hybridization—the joint, coordinated, or even collaborative action of human(s) and non-humans—is of major interest, either because it is new or because its aims have significantly evolved in recent history.
